Celebrated photographer David Bailey was always a huge jazz fan. Jazz dominates the score for John McKay’s Prix Europa-winning film, which documents the whirlwind romance between Bailey and his muse Jean Shrimpton, the first ‘supermodel’, changing the course of fashion and photography. Bailey’s theme moves from dogged and insistent to reflective and bittersweet. Jean’s music foreshadows the 1960s. The score is now available to download. Musician credits and stuff here.
